Welcome to MYM Fitness

I’m Gary – founder of MYM Fitness and a former police officer. I know what it’s like when the job takes over. Long shifts, unpredictable hours, and the pressure to keep going can leave you running on empty. I’ve been there – losing routine, eating whatever was easiest, putting off any kind of self-care, and slowly feeling more disconnected from who I was outside of work.

That’s why MYM Fitness exists – to support shift workers in the emergency services who are trying to find a better way. This isn’t about chasing extreme fitness goals or being perfect. It’s about helping you build structure around your shifts, set realistic goals, and make small, sustainable changes to how you move, eat, and live day-to-day.

This is about taking back some control – not for the job, but for yourself.

What I offer

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all fitness plan. It’s a coaching approach that focuses on what you actually need to feel better in yourself – more energy, more clarity, and more structure in a world that often lacks it.

Here’s what’s included:

  • Support with Routine & Structure: Helping you build a weekly rhythm that works around your shifts, not against them.

  • Realistic Goal Setting: We set practical, achievable goals around movement, food, and daily habits – nothing extreme, just sustainable.

  • Meal Prep Guidance: Learn how to plan ahead without overcomplicating things, so you’ve got the fuel you need, even on busy weeks.

  • Weekly Check-Ins: A space to reflect, stay on track, and adjust your approach if things aren’t working.

  • Ongoing Support: You’ll have regular access to me for advice, check-ins, and support throughout your journey.

  • Kahunas App Access: All your plans, check-ins and progress in one place, so it’s easy to stay on track. ​

How It Works

  • Fill Out a Short Coaching Form: This helps me get a quick sense of your situation.

  • Initial Consultation: We’ll chat about your current routine, your goals, your eating habits, and what’s getting in your way.

  • Personalised Plan: You’ll get a plan that fits your life – including realistic steps for movement, meals, and mindset.

  • Weekly Reviews: Each week, we’ll check in and see how it’s going. You’ll have the space to reflect, adapt, and keep building forward.

  • Regular Contact: You won’t be left to figure it all out alone. I’ll be on hand for support and guidance when you need it
